IWB launches cantina 4.0: The group is investing in new technology to help monitor quality and traceability
All NewsMilan, 16 January 2020 – Italian Wine Brands, one of Italy’s leading wineries, has given the goahead to Cantina 4.0, a project aimed at transforming the group’s IT systems and digitising internal company processes.
Italian Wine Brands will be using new baseline software to comprehensively manage its entire production cycle: from work in the vineyards, to the production, bottling and shipping of wine. This approach will help connect the group’s wineries and coordinate activities through a shared software program.
Alessandro Mutinelli, Italian Wine Brands CEO, states: “We’re applying the principles of industry 4.0: quality, innovation and technology. Our aim is to optimise production processes, maximise wine quality and improve working conditions. We’ve innovated our historic wine cellars by providing them with wireless connectivity, along with fully digitised and connected components and systems. Helping us achieve this goal is our vision, mentality and a drive to continuously improve.”
