From a qualitative point of view different situations were registered, due to both climatic conditions and the quantity of grapes produced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The most productive regions were Veneto (9.7 million hectolitres) and Puglia (8.1 million hectolitres). Therefore, after a miserly 2017, there has been a return to abundant production, which has brought with it a reduction in price for wines and grapes from the highest prices ever recorded in the previous period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alessandro Mutinelli, IWB CEO, comments: \u201c<em>After a critical harvest like 2017, which caused significant increases in the cost of raw materials in the financial year 2018, we now find ourselves with an abundance of product and falling prices.
